Great activities to enjoy in Kauai

If you are planning your next family vacation to the island of Kauai, you more than likely are already planning the various activities that you believe your family will enjoy. However, in many cases, the rest of the family is doing the same thing by searching on the internet to see what they would like to do while on vacation. Do not worry! You can all get together with your list and decide what you wish to do as a family. On the other hand, there are some activities that you should not leave off your list. A matter of fact, these should be at the top of the list.

Spouting Horn is a blowhole found on the south shore of Kauai. The waves come into the shore with such force that the water is sent 10 feet into the air. If your vacation is during the winter, you may get to see the water spout as high as six stories high. Close by the Spouting Horn is another blow hole that creates a moaning sound that will give your experience a new twist.

Next on the list of most popular activities in Kauai is the Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens. This awesome garden is a full 240 acre garden with not only beautiful landscape but also 70 life size statues. You can find the gardens off the North Shore of Kauai where you will enjoy the beauty such as waterfalls, pools, topiaries, gazebos, abhors, a magnificent lagoon and more.

A helicopter tour or plane tour is also a must. You can enjoy a 60 or 90 minute tour to an area you cannot reach or car by foot. See all the sights that you can view from the blue sky.

Another great activity is Captain Andy’s Sailing Adventure. You will leave from the south shore of Kauai and enjoy a 5 ½ hour that includes snorkeling and a picnic cruise that will take you to the Na Pali coast. You may wish to enjoy a shorter cruise at sunset, which is also a majestic sight to see.

There are many waterfalls to see around Kauai, but the number one is Waialua Falls. Waialua Falls can be found around 5 miles outside of the town. The best thing about Waialua Falls is that you do not have to hike through in order to see these two beautiful waterfalls that cascade 80 feet into a serene pool.

Princeville Golf Club is a must see even if you do not enjoy golf. This golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr and had an ocean view from every hole, waterfalls, and of course the beauty that only Hawaii has to offer. If you do not wish to get out on the golf course, you may enjoy the health club, spa, or restaurant while the rest of the family is teeing off.

These are just a few of the awesome and wonderful things for you and family to do while on vacation in Kauai. You can also enjoy all the beaches, snorkeling, biking, swimming, and more. You can talk with your hotel to learn of all the various things you might enjoy while on vacation or just take your own car tour and stop and see the sights along the way.

You may wish to take a whale watching tour or take a class to learn to hula dancing. The possibilities are endless, the adventures are plentiful, and the beauty of the island is overwhelming. Plan your vacation to Kauai by deciding on the major things you wish to see and do, but remember to leave time for relaxing on the beach and soaking up the sun.
